Undated (KICD)--Two school elections were held Tuesday in the area. Voters in each case approved the question on the ballots.
Spirit Lake patrons approved a physical plant and equipment levy for a three year period 816 to 638. A simple majority was needed to pass. Money raised from the 56 cent per thousand dollar valuation will be used to provide laptop computers for every student in grades 5 through 12.
Voters in the South Clay district approved the dissolution plan of their district. 92 percent voted yes on the measure with only 8 percent against the idea. The assets, territory and liabilities will be split up among several surrounding districts.
Results of both elections are considered unofficial until canvassed by boards of supervisors.
