Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--A Spirit Lake man is injured in an OWI snowmobile accident Saturday night.

Spirit Lake Police say that 37-year-old Michael Fisbeck was heading north on a sled trail along Sunner Avenue near 41st Street. he lost control , rolled, and was thrown from 2007 SkiDoo. Fisbeck was than ran over by 33-year-old Todd Fine of Spirit Lake who was traveling behind on a 2005 SkiDoo.

Fisbeck was taken to Lakes Regional. He was arrested for OWI 3rd offense which is a class D felony. Fine was arrested for OWI 1st offense. Both snowmobiles had a damage estimate of $1,000.

The accident took place at 11:05 Saturday night.

Spencer, IA (KICD)--Clay County Deputies are called to a snowmobile roll-over shortlay after 2:00 Saturday afternoon in the 3000 block of Highway 71.

29-year-old Justin Vetter of Prairie City was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed when he lost control causing the snowmobile to roll end over end, throwing him in the process.

Vetter was taken to the Spencer Hospital where he was later life flighted to Mckennen Hospital. Injuries are unknown at this time. The snowmobile had a $1,500 damage estimate. Deputies were assisted by Spencer Emergency Response, and Fostoria Fire and Rescue.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Storm Lake police spotted a wanted man outside a bar Saturday evening.

Officers say they stopped to talk with 21 year old Edward Armstrong of Storm Lake. He was wanted for a probation violation on second degree robbery and and third degree burglary convictions.

Armstrong reportedly resisted arrest and had to be subdued. Nobody was hurt.

He's being held on the outstanding warrants and faces addition to a count of interfering with official acts. Armstrong is being held in the Buena Vista County jail on a 53 hundred dollar cash bond.

Estherville, IA (KICD)--A car - semi accident during Monday's blizzard injured two people from Superior.

Emmet county sheriff Mike Martens says a car driven by 24 year old Auston Umholtz crossed into into the path of a semi-tractor/trailer driven by 58 year old Thomas Sudberry from Bolingbrook, Illinois. The accident happened four miles east of Estherville on Highway 9. Visibility was reported near zero at the time.

Umholtz -- and a passenger in his car 24 year old Carrie Mitchell -- were taken to the Avera Holy Family Hospital with unspecified injuries. Sudberry wasn't hurt.

Estherville police were asked to stop eastbound traffic on the highway while deputies, emergency management and Estherville fire and rescue crews worked the scene.

Martens says it's wiser to stay in a safe place when travel warnings are issued. He also says it's a good idea to have a winter survival kit in your car in case you get stranded.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Storm Lake Police are called to the intersection of East Milwaukee Avenue and Seneca Street after a Buena Vista County Deputy observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway with its airbags deployed inside of the vehicle.

88-year-old Evelyn Jalas of Sutherland said she collided with another car that fled. Jalas was suffering from minor injuries and taken to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center by Paramedics for treatment.

The driver who fled was found later and identified as 24-year-old Eddy Robles-Ochoa of Storm Lake. He was charged with No Drivers License and Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $1,300 cash bond.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A man arrested for yelling and making obscene gestures at another person is held without bond by the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

27-year-old Wagner Robles-Ochoa of Storm Lake was charged with Harassment by Storm Lake Police on Saturday.

Everly, IA (KICD)--The owner of a pit bull is in trouble after the dog allegedly chased some people in Everly on Sunday.

Clay County sheriff's officers say they got two separate complaints about the dog in the 500 block of North Adams Street. One caller reported the dog chased them but they got inside their car before being attacked.

Deputies charged 22 year old Brooke Roth with letting a dog run at large. She was cited and released.

Sioux City, IA (KICD)--A Kossuth County man pleads guilty to a child pornography charge in Sioux City federal court on Thursday.

73-year-old John Opheim of Burt admitted at the plea hearing that between July of 2007 and December of 2008 he possessed images of child pornography on his home computer. Opheim remains free on bond and once sentenced faces a maximum prison term of 10 years, max fine of $250,000 and possible supervised release after a prison term
