Estherville, IA (KICD)--Deputies from Jackson county, Minnesota and Emmet County in Iowa were called to a head on collision Monday evening just south of the state line.
Sheriff M ike Martens says the call came in about 7:30.
Deputies think Nicole Howard of Sherburn , Minnesota was going north on Iowa Highway 4. She lost control of the pick up she was driving and swerved into the path of a car driven by Ronald Leffel from Estherville.
Estherville firefighters brought the Jaws of Life to extricate people from the wreckage. Ambulance crews from Estherville, Sherburn, and Dunnell took both drivers and a passenger in the Leffel vehicle the Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville for treatment.
