Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--A pair of Dickinson County Deputies get into a wreck in their patrol cars Friday night.

Spirit Lake Police were called to the intersection of Keokuk Avenue and 20th Street in Sprit Lake at 10:31 Friday night. The Deputies were responding to an emergency call and had their lights and sirens on. It was determined that no one was to blame due to the weather and road conditions. Disabling damage was incurred by both vehicle. Nobody was injured.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A Storm Lake sex offender is jailed following an investigation by the Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office last week.

29-year-old Jonathon Rodgers was arrested on a class D felony charge of failure to comply with the sex offender registry on Friday. He was booked into Buena Vista County jail on a $5,000 bond.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Storm Lake Police are called out to Malarky’s Night Club in reference to an assault early Saturday morning.

It is alleged that 31-year-old Warren Simpson head butted a man he accused of dancing with his girlfriend. Simpson then allegedly fled from the night club. The victim was treated for a laceration to his forehead at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center for his injuries.

Cherokee Police found and arrested Simpson before turning him over to Storm Lake where he was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $1,000 cash bond.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A harassment report leads to felony forgery charges.

40-year-old Perfecta Alba Camarillo and 47-year-old Nereo Pastrana were found to have been working at the Kings Pointe Resort using false social security numbers. Camarillo was arrested at her home last Friday on the class D felony forgery charge and booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $5,000 cash bond.

Police are currently seeking Pastrana and have been unable to locate him.

Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--A man screaming at and pounding on the windows of a vehicle that was stopped in traffic brings out Storm Lake Police Friday afternoon.

Witnesses on scene said they observed 28-year-old Phouthong Thongvanh allegedly assault a woman by shoving her several times at the area of Lake Avenue and 6th Street. Thongvanh fled the scene and was subsequently pulled over.

It's alleged that Thongvanh became enraged when he saw his girlfriend riding in a car with another man. He stopped his car in the roadway on Lake Avenue and attempted to confront the man. The woman exited the second vehicle to calm Thongvanh at which time he assaulted her.

Police arrested Thongvanh and charged him with Domestic Assault and Disorderly Conduct. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.

Three small children were in Thongvanh’s car during the incident. The Iowa Department of Human Services was notified to make arrangements for the children.

No injuries were reported.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A Saturday afternoon search by authorities in Storm Lake led to two arrests.

Storm Lake Police assistant police chief Todd Erskine says the department's entry team, K-9 unit and BV County deputies searched 1318 West 6th Street. The search warrant was issued in connection with suspected sale of illegal drugs.

Investigators say they found and seized 41 bags of marijuana ready for street sale. About 2 thousand dollars in cash was also seized.

Twenty one year old Kourtney Hill was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Her five year old son was present at the time, so authorities filed a count of child endangerment as well.

Iowa Department of Human Services staff were called to help take care of the boy.

Hill is being held on a 7 thousand dollar cash bond.

Authorities found another person in connection with the search warrant around 5 Saturday afternoon.

Twenty four year old Lorenzo Shaw was arrested in the 700 block of Russell Street. He's charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana. He's been booked and held on a 5 thousand dollar cash bond.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Storm Lake Police look into a report of a sexual assault and domestic assault which allegedly occurred on multiple occassions this month.

A woman told authorities that during an argument with her husband on December 5th he physically assaulted her and that on December 10th he sexually assaulted her. The suspect was identified to police as 43-year-old Ingram Rush of Storm Lake.

Rush was located and arrested Saturday night. He was charged with 3rd degree sexual abuse - a class C felony, and domestic assault. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.

The victim was seen at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center Emergency Room.

On Sunday Police saw a 1999 Dodge Durango at the home of Rush which had the driver’s side rear window broken out and rear hatch window broken out. it is alleged that the victim's son, 27-year-old Jose Magana Jr. of Storm Lake, did the damage. He faces a class D felony charge of 2nd degree criminal mischief. He was booked into the county jail on a $5,000 cash bond.
