Storm Pot Sentence

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A Storm Lake man who was set to sell a quarter pound of pot to a police informant is sentenced to five years of probation.

On May 29th the undercover buy was scheduled. 24-year-old Eric Ocegueda was stopped in his car while on his way to the sale. The pot, valued at $300, was found in the vehicle along with the man's 4-year-old son.

In Buena Vista County District Court Monday Judge Terry Huitnik sentenced Ocegueda to a five year suspended prison term with credit for one day served, revoked his drivers license, and ordered Ocegueda to pay all legal fees by the end of the probation term. Ocegueda pled guilty to a class D felony charge of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and had charges of failure to affix a drug tax stamp and child endangerment thrown out as part of the guilty plea.

The man who he allegedly purchased the pot from, 28-year-old Antonio Martinez, is currently in the midst of court proceedings.
