ILCDC Luncheon Seminars

[Spencer, IA] In today’s economy, no doubt some businesses are faring better than others. How has your business fared in the past one or two years? Is it positioned to succeed in the next two or more years? Take time out for lunch and explore.

The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is sponsoring a series of luncheon seminars around the region in December titled “How to Thrive in Any Economy.” The 90 minute luncheon seminar is open to entrepreneurs, business owners, their employees or anyone working with entrepreneurs and businesses in the area. Seminars are scheduled for Thursday, December 3rd at the Spencer Golf and Country Club; Friday, December 4th at King’s Pointe Resort in Storm Lake; Wednesday, December 9th at Bank Midwest in Spirit Lake, and Thursday, December 10th at Iowa Lakes Community College, Room 74, in Estherville. The cost is $15/person, includes lunch, and reservations are required.

The seminar will be conducted by Scott W. Lowe, Vice President-Entrepreneurship of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation. Scott, an Iowa native, recently moved to the area and joined the Corridor on August 31. He is a former business owner, CPA, pilot, and professor at James Madison University in Virginia where he taught finance and new venture creation. The seminar will cover the fundamentals to exercise financial and business savvy, to proactively manage the future, and understand the value creation process for your business.
