Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--A Lakefield woman is injured in a Saturday morning accident in Dickinson County at the intersection of Highway 86 and 120th Street.

Iowa State Patrol records show that 83-year-old Eva Zishka was heading south on 86 in a 2005 Dodge Dakota when she lost control on the ice covered road. She crossed the centerline and went into the east ditch where she rolled before coming to rest on the drivers side. This caused $15,000 in damage to the truck.

Zishka was taken to Lakes Region by Dickinson County Ambulance. She was cited for failure to maintain control.

The accident took place at 9:50 Saturday morning.

Spencer, IA (KICD)--A transport van rollover type accident ends up with drug charges filed against a Dows woman on Saturday.

Clay County deputies say they were sent to the intersection of 330th Avenue and 310th Street after a caller reported a vehicle on its top.

Thirty six year old Sarah Lynn Webber told authorities she'd dropped a cigarette and lost control of the van when she tried to pick it up.

Deputies say a baggie of marijuana was found after the tow truck flipped the van back on its wheels. Investigators met with Webber later that morning and she admitted it was hers.

Webber is charged with possession of a controlled substance and failure to maintain control. She's been released on a thousand dollar bond.

Jackson, MN (KICD)--A band traveling across the U.S. while on tour gets into an accident in Jackson County due to icy conditions Saturday morning.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the driver lost control while heading east on I-90 on a slippery overpass at 7:46 a.m. The 2001 Ford van flipped and rolled along a metal guardrail and into the median before coming to rest on its top. One person was ejected in the the middle of the eastbound traffic lane. Eight, hailing form Houston, Texas and San Salvador, Minnesota, were injured. Two are listed in critical condition. The group from El Salvador was touring the country.

Sheldon, IA (KICD)--Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in a one pickup accident in Sioux County early Sunday morning.

Sheriff's Officers says the accident occurred one mile north of Sheldon on McKinley Avenue at 3:30 a.m. as 22-year-old Adam Driesen of Sheldon was heading south on McKinley. He lost control of his 1997 Ford pickup and rolled several times. He was ejected as he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Driesen was taken to the Sanford Hospital in Sheldon before being air-lifted to the Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. The truck was totaled.

Sheldon Fire, Ambulance, and Police assisted on scene of the accident which is still under investigation.

Jackson Police and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office assisted on scene. The van was totaled.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A fight in the doorway of an apartment leads to multiple charges being filed against an Alta man.

Storm Lake Police were called to 1322 North Erie Street #4 shortly after 2:00 Sunday morning. Once on scene they found 21-year-old Vincent Inek attempting to leave but he was detained. Through investigation it was found the Inek wanted to speak to a woman at the home who did not wish to speak with him. He subsequently forced his way into the apartment and kicked a door which struck a woman in the stomach who was seven months pregnant. A man in the apartment saw Inek enter and fought him to protect the other females at the home. He was able to get Inek out of the apartment at which time police arrived and took him into custody.

Inek then tried to run form the Police after being handcuffed and he tripped on some steps and fell and injured his head. He was taken by paramedics to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.

Inek was booked into the Buena Vista County jail on a class C felony burglary charge , assault, public intoxication, and interference with official acts. He was held on a cash bond of $10,900.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff's Department assisted on scene.

Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)--An Emmetsburg man wanted on four counts of sexual abuse is arrested by the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office Friday.

27-year-old Rodney Demoss Jr. had the warrant out for his arrest on the four class B felony charges. He was taken without incident to the Palo Alto County jail on a cash only bond of $130,000. Demoss was held in anticipation of an appearance before the magistrate.

Hospers, IA (KICD)--A Hospers man faces a charge of child endangerment following a Friday evening traffic stop by the Sioux County Sheriff's Office.

39-year-old Casey Grady was arrested on an OWI charge after the stop. The child endangerment charge was due to the fact he had a 6-year-old in the car.
