Storm Lake Reports

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Two from Storm Lake are arrested by Police after execution of a search warrant Thursday by the Storm Lake Police Department Entry Team.

Police found 35-year-old Koangsy Xayavong and 49-year-old Keosomboun Homesombath in possession of illegal drugs. A search of 228 Russell Street turned up three firearms, items used in the packaging and sale of illegal drugs, and an unknown amount of a crystal substance which has been sent to the DCI Crime Lab for analysis. A camera was in place at the home to see who was outside of the residence.

Xayavong has been charged with possession of meth 3rd offense - a class D felony - and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked into Buena Vista County jail on a cash bond of $5,000.

Homesombath was booked into county jail on a $1,000 cash bond on a charge of possession of marijuana. He was later released on an unsecured appearance bond.

Additional arrests are possible as the investigation continues. The Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A theft from the Storm Lake Bomgaars is looked into by Storm Lake Police Thursday.

Authorities were told an employee had allegedly been stealing merchandise and would then return it to the store for cash. The suspect, 18-year-old Winona Khaleck of Storm Lake, did this over the past few months to the tune of $500.

Khaleck was subsequently booked into Buena Vista County jail on a charge of 3rd degree theft. Bond was set at $2,000 cash.

Police went to the boyfriend's home and found some of the stolen property. 18-year-old Erick Ocegueda was charged with possession of stolen property. He was held in county jail on a $300 cash bond.
