Spencer, IA (KICD)--A Spencer man totals his car in a one car accident in the 3100 block of 230th Avenue shortly before 7:00 Friday night.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 45-year-old Gregory Durst was heading south on 230th in a 2004 Chevy Metro when he lost control, entered the west ditch, and rolled several times. He was taken to the Spencer Hosptial with several lacerations to the head and held for further evaluation.
Spencer Emergency Response and Fostoria Fire and Rescue assisted.
Charges are pending.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--The jaws of life are utilized following a Sunday afternoon accident in the 1500 block of Richland Drive in Storm Lake.
Authorities arrived to see Toyota pickup truck had struck an unattached Fruehauf semi trailer parked on the north side of Richland at 1509 East Richland Drive. The impact the from pickup truck shoved the trailer 50 feet into a second trailer. The passenger in the pickup truck, 49-year-old Chanboth Maloutaphong, was extricated from the truck by Storm Lake Fire Fighters using the Jaws of Life. Her and her husband Phoukhong were transported by ambulance to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center where they were admitted. Phoukhong is charged with with Failure to Maintain Control and Striking a Fixed Object.
The incident remains under investigation by the Storm Lake Police Department and a Technical Accident Investigator with the Iowa State Patrol. Police believe alcohol is a contributing factor in the accident and additional charges are possible.
Damage estimates came to $22,000 for the pickup and $2,500 for the two semi trailers.
This accident occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. Sunday.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--A two car accident led to minor injuries to a California woman.
Clay County deputies were called to the intersection of Highway 18 and County Road M-50 around 9 o'clock Thursday morning.
A car driven by Judith Eldeb from Oak View California collided with another car driven by Rebecca Simons from Webb.
Eldeb suffered a minor shoulder injury. She was treated and released from the Spencer Hospital.
Maurice, IA (KICD)--The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is looking for info on a car versus bicycle accident that occured at around 7:00 Thursday night.
19-year-old James Mazar was hit while riding his bike at the intersection of Main Street and Third Street in Maurice. As Mazar went through the intersection at Third Street a westbound motor vehicle struck the rear tire of Mazar’s bike. Mazar was thrown from his bike and injured. The driver of the motor vehicle did not stop.
Mazar received minor injuries and received medical attention on his own.

Everly, IA (KICD)--An Everly woman has been arrested on a Dickinson county warrant on Friday.
Clay county sheriff's officers say 45 year old Rebecca Tatman was wanted for third degree theft by Dickinson county authorities.
Tatman was arrested at her home then taken to the Clay -Dickinson county line and turned over to Dickinson county deputies.
Fostoria, IA (KICD)--A Fostoria man is facing charges after allegedly hitting his son.
Clay county sheriff's officers say they were called by a woman in Fostoria who told them a 12 year old boy came to her home crying. The boy said he'd been hit in the eye by his father.
Deputies -- along with the Iowa Department of Human Services -- investigated the incident.
Thirty seven year old Shane Bailey was charged with assault which is a simple misdemeanor . He's been released on bond.
Mallard, IA (KICD)--A Mallard man is arrested at his home by the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office Saturday.
25-year-old Timothy Schultz had a warrant for two counts of supplying alcohol to a minor, two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and a class C felony charge of 3rd degree sex abuse.
Schultz was taken to Palo Alto County jail where he was held on a bond of $12,600.
The Iowa State Patrol assisted.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Storm Lake Police respond to a report of a man walking down the street with a gun shortly before 1:00 Sunday morning.
After investigation of a home Police found marijuana and a BB pistol that looked like an actual handgun.
17-year-old Eric Pratt of Storm Lake was charged with possession of marijuana. He was released to a parent with a court date pending. The case was forwarded to the juvenile court authority.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A child endangerment charge is filed against a Storm Lake woman.
Storm Lake Police were dispatched to 317 West 6th Street in reference to an assault Friday afternoon. The 17-year-old female victim and other witnesses who told police that her mother, 34-year-old Angela Rae Vieregge of Storm Lake, had picked up her 11-year-old sister at the Middle School and dropped her off at the house. She said that her mother was allegedly intoxicated and when she tried to keep her from driving her mother reportedly physically assaulted her.
Vieregge was found at the Am Vets on Michigan Street . Police charged her with OWI, Child Endangerment, and Domestic Assault. She was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $3,300 cash bond.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--One teenager allegedly chasing another person with a bottle of urine is in trouble in Storm Lake.
Police and a Park Ranger were called to the Awaysis Park Playground Saturday night. Investigators say they learned a 13 year old boy was chasing another person and threatening to throw the bottle's contents over the other subject.
Authorities found the suspect in the 11 hundred block of Park street and charged him with disorderly conduct. He's been released to a parent and the juvenile court authority has the case.
