I grew up on a farm near Ayrshire, Iowa and graduated from Ruthven-Ayrshire High School in 1988. I attended Grandview College in Des Moines where I graduated with a B.A. degree in 1992. Also in 1992, I married my high school sweetheart, Karyn. From 1991 to the spring of 1995, I worked at Des Moines WHO and KLYF Radio. In the spring of 1995 we moved back home to northwest Iowa to start a career in radio sales and marketing KICD AM & FM and KLLT FM.
Living in Spencer also let me help my father on the farm from time to time. In January 2001, I moved into the KICD Farm Department and look forward to my position as Farm Editor. I enjoy many church activities, vintage farm tractors, a good joke and working with my fellow employees at KICD & KLLT.
