Blass Funeral Arrangements



Estherville, IA (KICD)--Funeral arrangements for a fallen Estherville soldier have been scheduled.

27-year-old Staff Sgt. Steven Blass was one of five killed in a helicopter crash in southern Afghanistan on March 11th.
Visitation for Blass will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Estherville High School with an awards ceremony at 8:00. Funeral Services will also be held at the Estherville High School gymnasium at 2:00 on Tuesday. Interment with full military honors will follow at North Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Spencer. Henry-Olson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be sent to the Steve Blass Memorial Fund at Employees Credit Union, 2714 Central Ave., Estherville, IA 51334.

Blass is survived by his wife and a 1-year-old son.
