Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--A Spirit Lake woman was injured as a result of a Tuesday afternoon crash.

Spirit Lake Police say 38-year-old Thomas Allen of Spencer pulled from a stop sign on Hudson Avenue in a 2009 Chevy Traverse. Allen collided with a 2007 Honda being driven eastbound on Highway 9 and sent the car off road where it collided with a light pole and continued down into the ditch.

The driver of the Honda, 56-year-old Debbie Brekke of Spirit Lake, was taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare by their Ambulance crew with non-incapacitating injuries.

The accident took place at 4:39 Tuesday afternoon.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A Storm Lake man was taken to the hospital following an early Sunday morning rollover.

The Buena Vista County Sheriff's Office reports that 66-year-old Barry Copp was heading east on County Road C-25 at 2:15 a.m. in a 2000 Ford Ranger. Copp drove through a rut in the road which had a large amount of water and mud in it and lost control. The pickup then entered the north ditch and overturned landing on the driver's side

Copp has to be extricated from the truck by mechanical means. He was taken to Buena Vista Regional Medical Center by their ambulance crew with what are being described as possible injuries.
