David Bowie's wife sparks tour hopes

David Bowie's supermodel wife Iman has dropped strong hints the veteran singer will tour again after releasing his first new album in a decade.

The reclusive singer stepped back into the spotlight earlier this year to mark his 66th birthday by releasing the first single from his latest record "The Next Day," but he has remained tight-lipped over any plans to showcase the album live.

His producer, Tony Visconti, previously stated Bowie would not be playing any of the tracks from his album in concert, but Iman's comments have given fans new hope for a string of gigs.

The beauty accidentally let slip that she would not be joining the music legend "on tour" because their 12-year-old daughter, Alexandria, is still in full-time education in New York, where the family lives.

Iman tells Britain's Grazia magazine, "We have a 12 year old in school, so we are stuck, we can't travel. Our schedule is around her, so I don't know. We'll have to go visit him, but we won't be on tour with him because she's in school."
