Spencer, IA (KICD)--Tickets for the inaugural Rocket Suzie Music Festival go on sale today.
Event Co-Founder Elice Brunnette tells KICD News the name of this event comes from the fact that The Bear is located on the Little Sioux River and sits across from what many call the Rocketship Park.
The six acts set to perform include local self-taught folk singer/songwriter Chad Elliott; the soulful folk/acoustic duo The Host Country; Dick Prall, who combines pop ditties, lilting melodies and quirky song structures that make up a diverse sound; Raucusful rock and rollers Bright Giant; the alt-country all girl-group The Trishas, and headliner Greg Brown, who is a folk musician from the Hacklebarney region of southeast Iowa.
The inaugural Rocket Suzie Music Festival will be held during Spencer’s annual Flagfest celebration and will take place outside of the Gary’s on the River complex on June 8th.
