Greenville, IA (KICD)-A Greenville woman was taken to the hospital following a Monday morning accident.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 59-year-old Marie Stover was heading north in the 3900 mile of 225th Avenue at 9:30 in a 1996 Ford Explorer. Stover lost control and entered the east ditch where she went through a ditch before coming to rest in a field.
Stover was treated for minor cuts and bruises at the Spencer Hospital.
Boyden, IA (KICD)--Two were injured in a Sunday evening accident.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Kaitlyn Ruden of Sheldon was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound on Highway 18 at 10:00 p.m , 4 miles east of Boyden. 19-year-old Breanne Van Roekel of Boyden was heading in the opposite direction when Ruden lost control of her vehicle and struck Van Roekel’s 2005 Chevrolet Impala.
Ruden and Van Roekel were both transported to the Sheldon Hospital by the Boyden Ambulance and Sheldon Ambulance for treatment of their injuries.
The Iowa State Patrol, Sheldon Police Department, Sheldon Fire Department, Boyden Fire Department and Boyden Ambulance assisted on scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--A wanted Spencer man has been arrested.
The Clay County Sheriff's Office says 32-year-old Christopher Nelson was transported from another law enforcement agency to Clay County jail last week. Nelson was wanted for a probation violation with original charges of delivering a controlled substance and a drug tax stamp violation.
Nelson was held to appear before the Magistrate
Hawarden, IA (KICD) -- A single vehicle accident injures 7 from Hawarden.
On Saturday evening, the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident on 420th Street. 66-year old Warren Vargo
was driving a 1999 Chevrolet Venture van westbound on 420th Street when he lost control of the vehicle, entered the north ditch striking a fence and a Northwest Rural Electric Cooperative (REC) utility pole.24-year old John Finley, 3-year old, Joshua Finley, 8-month old Natily Finley, 16-year old Brianna Vargo, 28-year old Sandy Vargo, 6-year old Annissa Vargo, and 8-year old April Vargo, were transported to the Hawarden Hospital by the Hawarden Ambulance for treatment of their injuries.
John Finley and Joshua Finley were later transported to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls by the Hawarden Ambulance for additional treatment of their injuries.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Hawarden Fire Department, Hawarden Ambulance, Hawarden Police Department and Northwest REC.The accident remains under investigation.
