Estherville, IA (KICD) -- A two vehicle accident in Estherville injures one.
The Estherville Police said the accident happened shortly after 5 Sunday afternoon, at the intersection of Central Avenue and 17th Street. 19-year old Justin Krueger of Estherville was northbound on South 17th Street in a 2003 Buick Park Avenue, and stopped for the flashing red light at the intersection.
As Krueger entered the intersection, he failed to see an eastbound 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by 55-year old Camille Turner, also of Estherville. As a result, the two vehicles collided. Turner received non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Avera Holy Family Hospital by Estherville Ambulance.
Krueger had possible injuries, but didn't seek immediate medical treatment. Krueger was charged with failure to obey a flashing red light signal
Wallingford, IA (KICD) -- Three people from Wallingford escaped serious injury after a car crash due to icy conditions.
The Emmet County Sheriffs Office said around 10-am Monday, a 2007 Saturn, driven by 23-year old Jesse Jungck, was westbound on A-34, when she lost control on the icy roadway, a quarter mile north of the Intersection with County Road N-26.
The Saturn crossed the center line, then entering the south ditch, then striking a cement culvert. Jungck and two passengers, Weston Haffner and Tristan Harvey all received possible injuries, but didn't immediately go for medical treatment.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A pair of arrests were made following a lat Monday evening traffic stop.
Upon contacting the driver, 22-year-old Derrick Bolden of Storm Lake, it was learned he didn’t have a valid drivers license. Police had Bolden exit the vehicle at which time police allege that Bolden walked into the middle of East Milwaukee Avenue and began yelling abusive statements towards the police officers.
Police arrested Bolden and charged him with Disorderly Conduct, No Drivers License, No Insurance and Failure to Use Headlights. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $300 cash bond.A passenger in the vehicle, 20-year-old Demetrius Tribble of Storm Lake, was instructed to exit the vehicle at which time police allege he was in possession of a small bag of marijuana.
Police arrested Tribble and charged him with Possession of Marijuana. He was booked into county jail on a $1,000 cash bond.
Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)--Emmetsburg Police continue to investigate a home break in.
William Doerning reported that someone broke into his home sometime between February 14th and 28th. A pair of televisions and numerous other items valued at $3,100 were taken.
