Blue Zones Pledge Push



Spencer, IA (KICD)--Spencer quest to progress from a Blue Zones demonstration site to the first Blue Zones Community in the world continues.

Engagement Lead Erin Pingel tells KICD News that one of the requirements in this process is to have 20 percent of the population of Spencer sign a Blue Zones pledge.

Pingel says the paper pledges can be found all around town at places like the Chamber, YMCA, Farmer's Bank, and the Blue Zones office at the Spencer Schools Administration building.

 
At this point around 1,000 pledges must be turned in by Spencer residents in order to meet the aforementioned criteria of 20 percent of the town's population. The pledge can also be found online at www.bluezonesproject.com.
