Spencer, IA (KICD)--Iowa Works in conjunction with Iowa Lakes Community College and the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation is partnering to promote and offer free National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC) credentialing to Iowa residents.
Bob Becker with Iowa Works tells KICD News these tests evaluate one's work ready skills.
The NCRC testing takes around one hour to complete and is aimed at measuring an individual workers’ skills in the areas of applied mathematics, reading for information and locating information.
Skill levels are rated in order from bronze to silver to gold to platinum.
Iowa Lakes Community College is hosting free NCRC testing events on Friday, February 22nd from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at their Spencer campus; Friday, March 15th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at their Estherville campus; Saturday, April 27th, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at their Spencer campus; and Monday, May 6th, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at their Spirit Lake Campus.
