Harkin On Bower Show



Des Moines, IA (KICD)--Iowa Senator Tom Harkin made an appearance on George Bower's morning show Wednesday on Newsradio 1240 KICD.
Over the weekend Harkin announced he will not seek reelection in 2014. During his appearance Harkin, a Democrat, commented on the relationship with Iowa's other longtime Senator, Republican Charles Grassley.
 

Harkin says he has plenty left to accomplish over the next two years as chairman of the the Senate Health, Education, Pensions and Labor Committee.

Harkin considers his work on the "Americans with Disabilities Act" to be his hallmark legislative achievement.
