On Friday, a Dickinson County Sheriffs Deputy made a traffic stop, on County Road M-56. Upon contact with the driver 18-year old Michael Lawler, the deputy could smell the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle.
A vehicle search turned up plant material believed to be marijuana, prescription pills and drug paraphernalia. Lawler was arrested on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent To Deliver-Marijuana, a class D felony, along with Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drug or Device, and possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was booked into the Dickinson County Jail and later released on $6000 bond.
