The Jackson County Sheriffs Office said the accident occurred Sunday, resulting in a snow plow on it's side at the intersection of County Roads 4 and 23, south of Petersburg. 62-year old Tom Brooks was sanding the icy roads, when he lost traction, on the incline of a banked road.
The snow plow began to slide toward the ditch. Brooks got the plow stopped, but it then slid into the ditch with a deep incline, causing it to flip onto it's side.
Brooks was not injured, in the mishap, and there was no snowplow damage information available.
