Fish House Break-Ins



Jackson, MN (KICD) -- A recent number of fish house break ins have law authorities giving a heads up.

Jackson County has seen three fish house break ins over the past week. Sheriff Roger Hawkinson says a fish house is actually a very favorable setup, for a break-in...

 
He says any and all items of value should be removed. Two break-ins were reported on Clear Lake and one on Lake Independence. Items taken include portable heaters and miscellaneous fishing equipment. Hawkinson says one of the key reasons fish houses are so vulnerable to break-ins is that it's not a normally patrolled area for law enforcement vehicles...

Taking items of value with youfrom the fish house, prevents them from be taken by someone else. Hawkinson asks anyone with any information about the break-ins to contact the Jackson County Sheriff’s office.
