Palo Alto Burglaries



Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)--Palo Alto County authorities continue to look into a string of early Monday morning burglaries.

The first report came in shortly after 12:30 from the Ruthven Meat Processing Plant. A Deputy determined entry was gained through a window causing $400 in damage.

The second report came in shortly after 3:00 of a vehicle being rammed into Sparky's Convenience Store in Mallard by what is believed to be a light silver or white quad cab truck. The collision led to the west wall being pushed in with entry gained and $10,000 worth of damage.

Shortly before 6:00 a burglary at the Silver Lake Cafe in Ayrshire was reported. Damages from a pried open door came to $500.

The fourth burglary report came from the Blue Moon Bar in Ayrshire at 7:21. Again entry was gained by prying open a door. $500 in damage to the door and video machines was estimated.

The final report came in at 9:18 from the Community Center in Ayrshire with entry gained by prying open a door. $500 in damage to the door was reported.

Lastly at 9:45 a report of a stolen 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab pickup came in. The $10,000 truck was parked in the 1100 block of Cambell Street in Ayrshire. The license plate is 384ZSP.

Inventory is being conducted to determine what, if anything, was stolen in the burglaries.
