Granville Accident



Granville, IA (KICD) -- A South Dakota man receives injuries after a two vehicle mishap in Granville.

   The Sioux County Sheriffs Office says around 9:13 Thursday morning, the accident occurred at the intersection of Broad Street and Oak Street, in Granville.

   49-year old Gregory Penning, of Granville was driving a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup northbound on Broad Street.when he collided with a 2011 Ford E-350 utility truck, driven by 62-year old Kevin Flammang, of Hudson, SD that was eastbound on Oak Street.  The collision happened in the intersection.

   Flammang reported minor injuries but declined medical attention.  The Ford sustained $7,500 damage, while the Dodge received $15,000 damage.  Flammang was cited for Failure To Yield at an Intersection.
  The Granville Fire Department and Granville Ambulance assisted in the incident.
