Storm Lake, IA (KICD) -- A Storm Lake man is arrested on burglary charges.
On Saturday morning, around 10:15, Storm Lake Police were dispatched to 1112 East 3rd Street in reference to a reported burglary.
Upon arrival, police learned that 27-year old Sergio Flores-Lopez had allegedly come to the residence in violation of a No Contact Order. The protected party from the court order attempted to leave the residence and Flores allegedly tried to assault him. The protected party fled and Flores refused to the leave the residence.
Police located Flores at the East 3rd Street address and upon arresting him police allege he struggled and resisted police but was subdued.
Following an investigation Storm Lake Police charged Flores-Lopez with 2nd Degree Burglary, a class C felony, Stalking, a class D felony, 3rd offense Domestic Assault, a class D felony, Violation of a No Contact Order, and Interference With Official Acts. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
