Storm Lake, IA (KICD) -- A Storm Lake man is jailed after driving without a license.
On Sunday afternoon, a Storm Lake Police Officer observed a person driving near the intersection of 10th Street and Lake Avenue who had a barred driver's license.
By the time the officer was able to receive confirmation on the person, 53-year old Guy Johns was barred from driving, Johns had allegedly parked the vehicle, and fled on foot.
Police checked the area, locating Johns in the 100 block of East 12th Street. When police tried to arrest him, Johns resisted officers and was subsequently subdued and taken into custody.
Johns wascharged with Driving While Barred and Interference With Official Acts. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $2,300.00 cash bond.
