Spencer, IA (KICD)--There are only three weeks left to sign up for the 2013 Live Healthy Iowa 10-Week Wellness Challenge.
Spencer Hospital Dietician Lois Stillman tells KICD News that this is a great chance to pair up with a buddy or a group to motivate and support each other in achieving their fitness and weight loss goals.
Live Healthy Iowa has announced the Corporate and Community Cup Challenge encouraging companies and communities to compete for the coveted traveling trophy.
As part of the Corporate Cup Challenge, companies will be segmented based on size. Winners of each of three size divisions will be determined based on highest percentage of the eligible workforce starting and completing the Live Healthy Iowa 10 Week Wellness Challenge.
From January 28th through April 5th each week, Live Healthy team members report physical activity and/or weight loss as part of a friendly competition. Weekly motivational and inspirational Lunch & Learns will be offered Wednesday’s from 12:00-12:30 at Spencer Hospital Lower Level Maple Conference Room featuring the Power 9 Blue Zones principles.
The 2013 Live Healthy Iowa 10-Week Wellness Challenge officially kicks off at noon on January 28th in the Oak and Maple Rooms in the lower level of Spencer Hospital. A comprehensive wellness screening is being offered on January 15th.
