U.K. Government Seeks To Attract Young People To Agriculture



The U.K. government is launching an initiative to get more young people working in agriculture.

The farm ministry says the drive is because of the huge potential for growth caused by a rising global population, increasing demand for western-style diets around the world and the need to reduce the environmental footprint of food production.

The farm ministry says thousands of new people will be needed to fill highly-skilled jobs in production agriculture and related industries.
