Emmetsburg, IA (KICD) -- Ruthven-Ayrshire's look at academic sharing with Emmetsburg, has received a very welcome reaction.
At the Emmetsburg School Board Meeting, December 19th, John Joynt shared his thoughts with the board, and told KICD News says he is very excited about the prospect.
. The Ruthven-Ayrshire School Board, Principal and Superintendent did take a tour of the Emmetsburg High School facilities. Joynt says the sharing would be a partial sharing only for the high school students, and tells that there is plenty of room for the approximately 70 students from Ruthven-Ayrshire that would be going there...
Joynt said the idea of getting more kids into the building is a very positive thing, and is eager to continue looking at the prospect of a partial day share. Joynt was asked about if the sharing would be limited to education or if sharing sports would be a possibility...
Ruthven- Ayrshire is currently in a six-year athletic sharing agreement with the Graettinger-Terril, but that athletic sharing agreement contains contract language that requires re-evaluation of that sharing agreement by both parties on a yearly basis.
The Emmetsburg Board approved exploring opportunities to do the partial sharing with Ruthven-Ayrshire,
