A Buena Vista County Deputy made the traffic stop at 11-pm Saturday, of a vehicle without plates. An investigation revealed 5 people in the vehicle, 3 from Alta and 2 from Cherokee. A search of the vehicle turned up a controlled substance, believed to be marijuana, in the back of the vehicle.
As a result, 24-year old Martin Hernandez Jr was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail. the other 4 occupants of the vehicle were released.
