Lucas announced he has added nutrition to the subcommittee on department operations and oversight, removed credit from that subcommittee, and he named Iowa Representative Steve King as the subcommittee chairman.
King will succeed Nebraska Representative Jeff Fortenberry, who is leaving the Ag Committee for another assignment.
Ranking member Collin Peterson announced that four newly-elected Democrats will join the Agriculture Committee. They are from New Mexico, California, New Hampshire and Texas.
