As previously noted on KICD News Peterson took over the post for a one year term in Sepetember. He attended the National League of Cities Conference in Boston last week where he learned of the importance of evaluating sustainable communities, providing services that citizens want, "green" techniques aimed at tasks such as recycling, governmental and private partnerships, fostering entrepreneurship, and data technology.
Peterson plans to make a mark during his tenure as President of the Iowa League of Cities.
Peterson's term runs to September.
