Legend Coaster Repair

Arnolds Park, IA (KICD)--If you think the wooden roller coaster at Arnolds Park is a rougher ride than it was when you were a kid - you're right.

Manager Scott Pyle says the structure does not vibrate like it used to, and it's being restored to the original condition of 1927 this winter.

Pyle tells KICD's George Bower two other segments of the Legend will be replaced in future years.

Besides yearly upkeep and maintence on the roller coast Pyle says the only other major work on it was after several hundred feet of track were destroyed in the tornado of 1968.
