The Tiger girls won the first game of the double header 40-37, coming up with a defensive stop on the final possession of the game as Unity Christian missed a pair of potential game tying three pointers.
Spencer trailed at the half 19-17 but outscored the Knights 13-10 in the third quarter to take the lead after the third quarter 30-29. The Tigers held on in the fourth quarter outscoring the Lady Knights 10-8 in the final quarter.
Spencer was led in scoring by Kirstin Martindale who scored 11 points, Heather Williamson scored seven, and Alexa Allen and Taylor Glover each added six points.
Spencer improves to 2-1 with the win, Unity Christian drops to 1-1.

The Spencer Tiger boys earned an impressive win also beating Unity Christian 80-52. The Tigers were outstanding on offense shooting 56% from the floor for the game. The Tigers were able pressure Unity Christian on defense as well holding the Knights to just 33% percent shooting from the floor. Spencer also capitalized at the free throw line hitting 24 of 35 free throws.
Spencer was led in scoring by Matt Finnern who had 24, Matthew Klemme had 22, and Tanner Morris added 10.
Spencer improves to 3-0 with the win, Unity Christian drops to 0-2.
