Around 12-hundred people attended the summit where it was announced that the first place winner of Governor’s Bullying Prevention Summit video contest was the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Community School District with nearly 37,000 views.
Counselor Kim Spier tells KICD News that a group of 7th graders decided to enter the contest.
HMS will receive a $500 prize and a visit from Governor Branstad and Lt. Governor Reynolds. There were 23 videos submitted for the contest.
