Operation Shadow Client



Storm Lake (SLPD)--Storm Lake Police announce a series of arrests into several parallel investigations involving the alleged illegal sale, possession and use of methamphetamine, marijuana and prescription drugs in Storm Lake.

On Tuesday, November 27, 2012 Storm Lake Police initiated a series of arrests in an enforcement initiative dubbed ‘Operation Shadow Client”.
At approximately 6:30am Tuesday morning the Storm Lake Police Department Entry Team executed a search warrant at a residence located at 111 East 10th Street #14. Upon executing the search warrant, police located and seized marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Following the search warrant police located the apartment’s tenant, identified as Jairus Edwards, age 47 of Storm Lake. Police charged Edwards with Possession of Marijuana (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $1300.00 cash bond.

Following the search warrant, teams of Storm Lake Police Officers began systematically locating a variety of other people wanted in connection with on-going illegal drug investigations.

The following people were arrested during the day and evening on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. They were all booked into the Buena Vista County Jail.

Sandra Chaidez, age 20 of Storm Lake, was charged with Deliver of Methamphetamine (class C felony). Bond $50,000.00

Daniel Flores, age 18 of Storm Lake, was charged with Delivery of Marijuana (class D felony). Bond $5000.00

Daniel Figuero Gonzalez, age 20 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine (class C felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Bond $50,000.00

Mariano Jimenez, age 37 of Storm Lake, was charged with 2 counts of Delivery of Marijuana (class D felony) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Bond $5300.00

Matthew Ung, age 22 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana (class D felony). Bond $300.00

Christian Wunder, age 31 of Storm Lake, was charged with 4 counts of Possession of Prescription Drugs (Buspar – Meclizine – Risperdal – Oxycondone) (serious misdemeanors). Bond $2500.00

Kevin Franco, age 23 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Rogelio Diaz, age 19 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used (both serious misdemeanors) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Guillermo Manriquez-Hernandez, age 45 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (serious misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Joshua Wetherell, age 25 of Alta, IA was charged with Possession of Marijuana 2nd Offense (serious misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Geoffery Ullerich, age 22 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (serious misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Michael Whiteside, age 53 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of a Prescription Drug – Metformin (serious misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Gilbert Palomares Jr., age 20 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of Marijuana, Gathering Where Controlled Substances are Used (both serious misdemeanors) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Darchelle Groce, age 48 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of Marijuana (serious misdemeanor) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (simple misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Bonifacio Granados Cuellar, age 27 of Storm Lake, was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine (serious misdemeanor). Bond $1000.00

Storm Lake Police advise that additional arrests are anticipated.

The Storm Lake Police Department was assisted throughout the day by the Buena Vista County Sheriffs Department, the Sac County Sheriffs Department and the Cherokee County Sheriffs Department.

All defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty.
