Spencer Blood Drives



Spencer, IA (KICD)--While Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, it can also be a time to give hope to patients who rely on donated blood.

Bobbi Snethen with the American Red Cross tells KICD News that a pair of blood drives will be held in Spencer next week.

Snethen says in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, over 400 blood drives were cancelled on the east coast.

Snethen says the entire process takes about an hour.

The participating blood drives in Spencer are scheduled for 1-7 p.m. Monday and 11-5 Tuesday at Hope Reformed Church. To make an appointment visit the Red Cross website or call 1-800-REDCROSS. Walk-ins are welcome.
