Jackson County Fatal

Lakefield, MN (MNN)--A southern Minnesota man is dead after a semi truck collided with a farm tractor Thursday afternoon in Jackson County.

The State Patrol says 44-year-old Joseph Oliver of St. James was killed when his rig struck the tractor on Highway 86 and went into the ditch and rolled. Oliver was trapped in the cab of the semi and had to be extricated by firefighters. The 48-year-old Windom man driving the tractor was not injured.
