Veterans Day Flags

Spencer, IA (KICD) -- Help is being sought for a salute to Veterans in Spencer.

On Monday, help is being requested to put up flags on the courthouse lawn. Barb Dean has been involved with the Avenue of Flags for many years, and is overseeing the effort. She says one big hurdle has been handled already for the Monday project. The pole holders have already been located. Now it's the task of geting the flags put up...

Dean says with the current weather forecast, there may be one issue...

For anyone wanting to help to put the flags up, Dean says there is not a lot of prep needed...

Flags will be taken down at 4-pm Monday, which does take a bit more, according to Dean...

Any help would be greatly appreciated with the flag display for Veteran's Day.
