Spencer Hospital Project Bids



Spencer, IA (KICD) -- A major upgrade to the Spencer Hospital takes a big step forward.

The Hospital Board of Trustees were presented and approved bids for several construction projects which will total just over $5.2 million. Bill Baumgarner is the Spencer Hospital President. He shares details on one of the projects in the works...

Baumgarner details the two other projects also in line...

Steve Deutsch is Vice President of Operations Support. He says getting all the different area costs figured out, then getting bids for the 27 areas in the projects, took some work but has come together nicely...

Deutsch was pleased to say that bids were received from numerous local contractors and businesses as well as others in the upper midwest...

Deutsch, along with the rest of the board was very pleased on how the bidding came out as compared the the project estimates...
. Work will commence early next week. with the projects scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2013.
