Police said that the stories told by Oldenkamp and O'Hara to their parents were different. Upon investigation, it was determined it was a vehicle related accident that caused the injury.

Around 6-pm on October 22nd, O'Hara was driving a 2001 Chevy Lumina westbound on West 13th Street, when Oldenkamp jumped on the top of the car on the passenger side to do what's reported as "car surfing".
