On Monday Alfred Moriston was arrested on warrants for 2nd degree sex abuse-lascivious acts with a child which indicates the victim was 11 or younger, and harassment by personal conduct.
Moriston is currently being held in Dickinson County jail on a cash or surety bond of $35,300.
Spencer, IA (KICD) -- Spencer Police deal with an incident involving two male teens with different stories
On Monday, Spencer Police requested that 15-year olds Jereme Oldenkamp and Jackson O'Hara, along with their parents come to the Police Department, to discuss an incident, which occurred October 22nd, in which Oldenkamp received injuriesresulting in his arm being in a cast.
Police said that the stories told by Oldenkamp and O'Hara to their parents were different. Upon investigation, it was determined it was a vehicle related accident that caused the injury.
Around 6-pm on October 22nd, O'Hara was driving a 2001 Chevy Lumina westbound on West 13th Street, when Oldenkamp jumped on the top of the car on the passenger side to do what's reported as "car surfing".
When O'Hara got to 14th Avenue West, he attempted to turn left, causing Oldenkamp to fall off the vehicle. Both denied O'Hara was driving too fast, and upon going to O'Hara's residence, the two told the parents there was a moped accident. Later, Oldenkamp said he ran his bicycle into a tree.
It was determined both parties were at fault for the mishap, could be charged. A third person was determined to be riding in the car, but police havent been able to make contact with him.
Hartley, IA (KICD)--A Hartley man is jailed on a pair of drug warrants by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.
Earlier this month 52-year-old William Collins was apprehended on an arrest warrant for two class D felony counts of Prohibited Acts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana. The charges stem from an ongoing narcotics investigation in which Collins allegedly sold and delivered marijuana to an individual on two different dates last year.
Following Collins' arrest he was transported to the O’Brien County Jail where he was booked into jail on the charges and released later that day after making an initial appearance.
Sheldon Police assisted.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD) -- An Aurelia man is arrested after an incident at a Storm Lake business.
Storm Lake Police said around 4:12 Sunday afternoon, they were dispatched to McDonalds at the Walmart store, in reference to a trespass.
Upon arrival, police learned that 41-year old Tahmael Evans had been fired as an employee, but refused to leave. Police arrested Evans, and during the investigation, Evans was found to have Hydrocodone pills in his possession, that didnt belong to him.
Evans was charged with Criminal Trespass and Possession of a Schedule 2 Controlled Substance. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $1300 cash bond.
Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--Felony drug charges are filed in Dickinson County.
Early Thursday morning class B felony charges of possession of meth and oxycodone with intent to deliver were filed against 27-year-old Cory Rienstra. Additional charges on file include prohibited acts and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Rienstra is currently being held in Dickinson County jail on a $37,000 cash or surety bond and has a preliminary hearing set for November 5th.
Primghar, IA (KICD)--Drug charges land a Primghar man in jail.
Early Monday morning 46-year-old Macheal Koenck was arrested by the O'Brien County Sheriff's Office on a class D felony charge of possession with intent to deliver, possession of meth, and drug paraphernalia.
Koenck was held in O'Brien County jail on a $5,000 bond.
