Rock Valley, IA (KICD)--Three are injured following a Thursday afternoon mishap.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 17-year-old Shane Meerdink of Hull was driving a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am northbound on Coolidge Avenue shortly after 4:30, four miles west of Rock Valley, when he lost control and the vehicle rolled into the east ditch.
Meerdink was transported to Hegg Memorial Hospital by the Rock Valley Ambulance treatment of minor
injuries. Two passengers received minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
Meerdink was cited for failure to maintain control and violation of conditions of a restricted license.
The Rock Valley Fire Department assisted on scene.
Sheldon, IA (KICD)--The Sheldon Cooperative propane service warehouse is burglarized.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says their propane service warehouse was burglarized sometime Tuesday evening or overnight Wednesday. Entrance was gained by prying open a walk-in door. Once inside an overhead garage door was opened and a vehicle was parked inside the building. Items taken include a variety of copper and brass fittings and pipes. Some of the valves are valued at
$300 each. The total value of the stolen items is approximately $5,000.

Storm Lake, IA (KICD) -- A Storm Lake Police officer takes down an aggressive loose dog.
The incident occurred Thursday morning, as an officer responded to a report of an aggressive pit dog, on the loose, on the northwest side of Storm Lake.
The officer shot the animal, after an unsuccessful attempt to subdue the dog with a catch pole and a stun gun, and when the dog attempted to bite an officer.. the take down happened at the Field Of Dreams baseball park.
The dogs owner, 26-year old William Reyes, of Storm Lake, was cited for allowing a dog to run at large.
