Larchwood, IA (KICD) -- A Minnesota man crashes his motorcycle trying to avoid a deer.
The Lyon County Sheriffs office said on Friday, 47-year old Russell Kooistra of Hills was riding on 110th Street eastbound on a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Kooistra came upon a deer entering the roadway, and as he tried to avoid hitting the deer, he lost control of the Harley.
He was taken to Sioux Falls Hospital by private vehicle to be checked for possible injuries. Assisting at the scene was Larchwood Fire and Rescue.
