Foote Pleads Not Guilty



Spencer, IA (KICD)--A Spencer man pleads not guilty to a class C felony count of willful injury.

On September 1st 22-year-old Chase Foote of Spencer was arrested after 44-year-old Jefferson Wilbur was found lying on his back and unresponsive.  WIlbur suffered possible life threatening injuries after his head struck the ground and several facial fractures.   Foote was located near the incident scene and taken into custody without incident.
Online court records show Foote has demanded a speedy trial and a pretrial has been set for October 8th with a jury trial currently slated to start the following day.  His bond was also reduced from $25,000 to $10,000.
