Storm Lake Sewer Blockage



Storm Lake, IA (KICD) -- No fish kill was reported after a blocked sewer incident.

The blockage took place in the city of Storm Lake Tuesday. Julie Sievers is with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. She gives a rundown of what the problem was...


 
The city of Storm Lake and Iowa DNR considered damming Poor Farm Creek, but reconsidered after it was decided that would result in dead fish. Sievers tells how the project cleanup went...

It was estimated around 250 gallons of sewage was involved. As a result of the efforts, no further action will be taken.
