Pill Drop Off



Spencer, IA (KICD)--Those looking to safely rid themselves of unwanted or expired prescription drugs are in luck this weekend.

Positively Spencer Youth Director Amy Simpson tells KICD News of the importance of this effort.

Simpson says they have made things as easy and simple as possible.


Around 800 pounds has been collected in Clay County over the past two years.

Similar efforts are taking place across the country from 10:00-2:00 this Saturday with area locations including the Palo Alto County Sheriff's Office, the entrance to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, the lobby drop box at the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, and the Hy Vee Pharmacy in Cherokee.
