In a promotional stunt, Oscar Mayer has challenged actor Josh Sankey to barter his way across the United States with nothing but bacon.
Sankey left New York City last week with no cash, no credit cards, just a trailer full of 3000 pounds of Oscar Mayer Butcher Thick Cut bacon that he will use for gas, lodging, food and everything else he will need on his two-week trek to Los Angeles.
Sankey is accompanied by a cameraman, and the adventure is on line at baconbarter.com.
Promoter Tom Bick says, “We know Americans love bacon, and we’re about to find out just how much.”
