Spencer YMCA BZ Certified

Spencer, IA (KICD)--The Spencer YMCA has been deemed a Blue Zones worksite.

Senior Director Megan Whittaker tells KICD News about some of the pledge items they have fulfilled.

Whittaker says they are even instituting some pledges that were not a part of the certification process.

Program Director Sarah Morrow shares details of a children's garden they have installed.

Morrow rounded up some volunteers and the program took off.

Morrow says this opens up a new perspective for the kids.

The Spencer YMCA accrued 100 percent participation from all employees for their Blue ZOnes certification.
