Isaac's Rains Won't Help Most Iowa Crops

Spencer, IA: (Aug 30, 2012) - DTN Chief Meteorologist Bryce Anderson says Hurricane Isaac will dump good amounts of rain in the Delta, but it’s effect won’t be felt in much of the parched cornbelt, with very little effect seen in Iowa.

Anderson says that, even where Isaac’s effects are felt, the storm could do more damage than good.

Anderson says the effects of this summer’s drought will continue in northwest Iowa for a few more months.

Bryce Anderson made his comments Wednesdayin an interview with KICD at the Farm Progress Show near Boone.
