Neal Schon's mistress finalizes divorce

The girlfriend of rocker Neal Schon has finalized her divorce, almost a year after her affair with the Journey star hit headlines.

Michaele Salahi left the home she shared with her businessman husband Tareq in Virginia last September, and when she failed to return, he contacted the police and reported her as a missing person.

However, it subsequently emerged that Michaele had run off to see Schon on tour in Memphis, prompting Tareq Salahi to file for divorce.

The lovers have been together ever since and on Monday a judge in Virginia signed off on the divorce decree, according to TMZ.

The news emerges days after Schon settled a $50 million lawsuit with Tareq, who accused the musician of tearing his marriage apart and ruining an opportunity for the former couple to appear on Australia's Dancing with the Stars.

The Salahis became reality TV stars in the U.S. after hitting headlines in November 2009, when they crashed a White House state dinner in honor of India's Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
